Supporting Our Colleagues: SPS signs Ara Workplace Charter

SPS Signs the Ara Workplace Charter to Support Colleagues and Reduce Gambling-Related Harm

SPS is proud to be the first transport company in the South West to sign the Ara Workplace Charter, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to colleague wellbeing and to reducing gambling-related harm for individuals and families.

The signing took place on Wednesday 26th November, where colleagues welcomed representatives from Ara, a charity providing specialist counselling, advice, and support for those affected by gambling. Gambling-related harm is an increasingly significant issue in society, and the session offered valuable insight into the impact it can have on people’s lives.

We were grateful to hear from Johnathan, who shared his personal experience of addiction and recovery with the support of Ara. His story highlighted the far-reaching effects of gambling harm and the importance of early support.

The charter was signed by Jade, Head of Service Delivery, on behalf of SPS, and Andrew on behalf of all SPS colleagues. Their commitment reflects our collective responsibility to foster a safe, supportive, and informed workplace.
