Welcome to the SPS Excellence Awards 2025
The SPS Excellence Awards gives everyone the opportunity to nominate colleagues and teams to receive recognition for their contribution to our business.
Anyone can nominate an individual or team across 11 different award categories.

Award Categories
Dedicated Award
To recognise an individual or team who shows consistency, goes above and beyond, sets high standards, is committed, reliable and is proactive..
Respect Award
To recognise an individual or team who respects our people, our customers and our community through positive actions and behaviour. This is someone who continuously shows respect to teammates They are known for always treating others how they would like to be treated themselves. They always work to be inclusive and consider others’ views and opinions.
Inclusive Award
To recognise an individual or team who consistently behaves in a way that makes all our colleagues feel welcome, where they can be their true selves and accepted in a place where they belong.
Versatile Award
To recognise an individual or team who is versatile and agile in order to overcome challenge and who showcases and ability to adapt, learn, and perform effectively across various tasks, projects, and situations.
Empowered Award
To recognise an individual who takes initiative, is proactive, and takes ownership of their work and responsibilities.
Values Star Award
This award is excluded from the nomination process. All colleagues who have won a values star award in the past 12 months will be automatically entered into this category.
Zero Harm Champion Award
To recognise an individual or team who demonstrates an unwavering commitment to health, safety, and well-being in the workplace. This person actively promotes a zero harm culture, where the goal is to eliminate incidents, workplace injuries and environmental harm.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement Award
To recognise an individual or team who has come up with or developed an idea that improves a process or way of working. The submission should explain how the innovation led to more effective and efficient ways of working. For example, a colleague or team may have come up with a new or novel idea or one that has led to a safer environment or saves money or time.
Rising Star Award
To recognise an individual who is in the early stages of their career but has already shown outstanding potential, dedication, and impact. This award celebrates those who are not only excelling now but are also poised to make significant future contributions.
Team Player Award
This awards recognises an individual who consistently demonstrates exceptional collaboration, support, and a positive attitude within a team environment. This colleague prioritises group success over personal gain and contributes to a strong, cohesive, and productive team dynamic.
Driver Excellence Award
This award recognises a Driver who demonstrates outstanding dedication, professionalism, and performance in their role. This award is for a Driver who goes above and beyond in areas such as safety, customer service, reliability and professionalism.

- Judging Panels – end July
- Top 3 finalists announced – end July
- Gala Awards Ceremony – Friday 5th September
