Congratulations to Jack for winning the Silver HPC Excellence 2025 Award!
Jack is our Digital and BI Scientist and took home the Silver Award at last week’s HPC Excellence Awards in the Making a Positive Change category. This recognition celebrates his outstanding work in developing a transformational new engineering app that’s driving impact across the business.
The Making a Positive Change Award recognises team members who go above and beyond in their roles, demonstrate a passion for supporting others, and show a strong commitment to the safety and wellbeing of everyone on the Project. It celebrates individuals who introduce innovative, solution-focused approaches that deliver meaningful improvements and create positive change for their team and the wider Project.
Jack has transformed the Engineering Team during a period of rapid growth and operational pressure. He introduced a new Engineering App that reduced manual processes and paperwork, enabling better data analysis and allowing the team to predict and prevent recurring issues, optimise staff schedules, and keep more vehicles on the road. These changes have delivered significant efficiency gains and cost savings, with plans to extend similar digital solutions across other departments.
Since joining SPS in late 2024, Jack has made an immediate and wide-reaching impact. His ability to turn complex data into actionable insights has improved strategic decision-making. His technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and commitment to innovation have not only eased workload pressures but also positioned the business for continued success.
