Meet the SPS East Parking Team
The SPS East Parking Team helps keep parking fair, safe and considerate across Leiston and surrounding areas.
The team works to enforce the Sizewell C Code of Conduct by preventing fly parking, monitoring parking hotspots and supporting local communities.
What is fly parking?
Fly parking is when a vehicle is parked somewhere other than an assigned Park and Ride site or away from a worker’s registered accommodation.
Incorrect parking can impact local residents, disrupt transport plans and reduce available parking spaces.
What does the team do?
The Parking Team:
- Patrols known parking hotspots
- Monitors residential streets and key routes
- Checks that Park and Ride sites are being used correctly
- Reports parking issues and follows up where needed
Why is this important?
By helping to prevent fly parking and monitor parking activity, the team supports local communities, improves road safety and helps keep transport running smoothly for everyone.
